We had a busy and exciting day today!
First, this morning’s VE testing session was a big success, thanks to everyone who came out and helped get new folks licensed and upgrades completed. That alone makes for a great day in radio.
Then this afternoon we jumped into the W3VXT Memorial 2-meter simplex contest. Our crew spread out across two different locations, and everybody made some solid contacts. A few of us even got to test out new equipment – Joe and I both tried out new beam antennas, and they worked great. It was awesome to be on the air, experiment a little, and just spend time together.
We even grabbed a couple of cool pictures along the way. Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who took the time to participate. Without people showing up, setting up, and making contacts, these activities just wouldn’t be the same.
Between the testing this morning and the contest this afternoon, we really showed what our club is about- building, learning, and having fun with radio. Let’s keep the momentum going and keep doing what we do best! 73's
