📡 KARS Friday Night Nets & Weekend Activity Update
Hey KARS crew. We had an awesome couple of days on the air and in the community, so here’s a quick recap.
Friday Night Nets – November 14
Our weekly 2 meter simplex net kicked off the evening and you all showed up strong. We logged 15 check ins on 145.535 and it was great hearing everyone out there.
This week’s rotating net was the CB net on channel 23 AM and it turned out amazing. We had 9 check ins and plenty of good conversation. It really looks like these Friday night nets are here to stay. We’ll keep rotating that second net across different bands, so if there’s a band you’d like to see in the mix just let us know and we’ll work it into the schedule.
Thank you to everyone who checked in and helped make it another solid Friday night on the air. We can’t wait to do it again next week.
Ham’s Helping Hams – Antenna Assistance
Earlier today the KARS team headed over to help a local ham get his HF antenna back in the air. It had been down for over a year and we were able to get him back on the air and ready for action. It was a great experience and exactly what this hobby is all about.
If you know anyone who needs help with an antenna, a radio setup, or anything amateur radio related, just bring it to our attention. We’ll do our best to lend a hand. Ham’s helping hams is one of the best traditions in this hobby.
Thanks again to everyone who came out and helped today and to everyone who checked in last night. You all keep this club moving forward and it’s awesome to see.
