Big News From the KARS Clubhouse: Our First Stations Are On The Air

We are excited to share a major milestone for the Keystone Amateur Radio Society. As of today, the KARS Clubhouse officially has a fully operational VHF and UHF station on the air.

This is a huge step forward for the club and marks the beginning of building a permanent, reliable, and community-focused operating space right here at Shady Springs Picnic Grove.

Today’s work session was nothing short of outstanding. The teamwork, enthusiasm, and dedication everyone brought made all the difference. It was a perfect day for antenna work, and the results speak for themselves. The antennas are up, the station is live, and the clubhouse is officially transmitting.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shady Springs Picnic Grove. Your hospitality, support, and willingness to host us have been instrumental in making this club a reality. We truly appreciate everything you have done and continue to do for us.

We are not stopping here. Work begins this week on getting the HF station online, and we are planning to bring a GMRS station to life within the next few days. Once those are complete, we will have a strong, multi-band setup that any member can walk in and operate.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help. Every hand, every tool, and every minute made this possible. This was truly a team effort, and it shows what we can accomplish together.

Great things are happening at the KARS Clubhouse, and we are proud to share these moments with all of you.
